white band logoThe SWP Band is unique in it’s ability to transfer from one style to another without losing a beat. Their material includes, Blues, Rock, Dance Music, funk and a taste of Modern Country. The focus is making sure the song at hand is a great tune played well. For the audience, they get to hear a wide range of sounds to keep them focused on the music. You never know what they will pull out and play next.

Steve is a Guitarist, Vocalist, Producer, Composer and Audio engineer. He is one of the founding members of Over Easy, Rock-it-Science & The Steven Wayne Plouffe Band. Steve has written most of the Originals the band currently performs, which range from Blues, Rocn-Roll, Funk and a little bit of modern Country too! He brings decades of live performance experience to the band.

Wayne Naylor

Wayne Naylor is a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist and composer with over 50 years experience playing in many bands covering Rock, blues, Jazz and more.  Wayne has performed in a wide variety of Bands, including The national touring band and recording artists “The Enerjets”, Dan Schmitt and the Shadows (also with Mike Plouffe). In 1993, All three joined together with the legendary Rochester jazz pianist Gap Mangione to form his New Blues Band playing hundreds of shows over 25 years with Gap’s Blues Band and Big Band. He has also shared the stage with Chuck Mangione at special events when the brothers played together. Wayne is the featured Bassist on John Bolger’s 2016 CD Release. Wayne performs on a regular basis with Blues Legend Steve Grills and many other bands in the western NY region filling in for live shows and recording sessions. Wayne is know for his killer sound from the 6 string bass he slings on stage.

Mike Plouffe

Studied Percussion and Drumming at the Drummers Collective in NYC. As a mainstay of the Rochester NY music scene he has performed with Dan Schmitt, Larry Davis, Pee Wee Ellis (of James Brown, Van Morrison),Little Anthony & The Imperials, as well as a stint with Blues Legend James Cotton. As a longtime member of the Gap Mangione’s band he has enjoyed performing with Chuck Mangione, Freddy Cole, Curtis Stigers, Jass Guitarist Russell Malone and many others who stopped by to sit in on their gigs over the years.

Thomas Homer is a Multi-instrumentalist and vocalist. Tom adds keyboards, Trumpet and vocals to the band.

He brings decades of live performance experience playing many styles of music in duo’s and full band formats.

Tom describes his path as making up for lost time by using childhood piano lessons and a perfectly good college education to pursue his post-retirement goals of playing great music with great musicians.
